艺术家是展览的奴隶

司马源借用了城市街道旁闪烁的led电子广告牌的形式，并以一行持续滚动的发光文字“艺术家不是展览的奴隶”来呈现出她对于创造者与观者之间关系的思考与探索。作为一句宣言般的回答，这串文字与展览标题只有一字之差，却造成了全然相反的含义。正是在这种矛盾与统一的模糊状态中，艺术家带给路过的路人们一个突兀的信息。

Artists Are Slaves to Exhibitions

Sima Yuan used the form of flashing LED electronic billboards beside the city streets and presented her thinking and exploration of the relationship between creators and viewers with the continuously scrolling luminous text “Artists Are Not Slaves to Exhibitions”. As a manifesto-like answer, this sentence is only one word away from the title of the exhibition but has a completely opposite meaning. It is in this fuzzy state of contradiction and unity that the artist brings an unexpected message to passersby.
